Lets Plan A Robbery...

Alright so it started about about 6 mouths ago. my reverse slowly got worse. At first when i put in reverse it would take a sec for it to kick it. then it got where i had to be rolling back for it to catch. then it didnt work at all. i had no reverse for about 2months which really was no problem. just watch where i parked and my house as two entrances. then about month and half ago. one day it just started working again. worked perfect until last week. wth? my tranmission fiuld is fine. i made sure that was correct of course. if theres away i can fix this i kinda dont want to put any money in a 5speed when im not to far from a engine swap. id love to have a 5swap obivously fuck a an auto but i dont want to waste money on a tranny when like i said about near the time for my engine swap when im be changing trannys again. Is my transmission shot? or is there something i can do to fix this? or anything i can cheak to see if its the problem. and if my tranny is fucked then idc im go head and put a tempory manual in. let me know something.

i kno i kno you guys are going to say go 5. i kno that. but is there ANYTHING at all i can to fix this issue with out like rebuilding the tranny cause theyd be stupid. if there no way to fix that what im be force to do reguardless |

I don't know how it was a bad trans and wouldn't go in reverse but then one day it just worked like nothing happened... Unless something sheared off and isn't keeping it from going in reverse anymore... If it works use it I guess. That's what I would do... |

what engine are you swapping to? if its an sr20 or rb20 then the back halves are the same exact thing and you only need to swap out bell housings then you will have a spare 5speed tranny laying around if its needed =] |
