For anyone who has removed the automatic belts in thier cars, Did you do anything to cheat the seat belt warning light or do you just ignore it? Also are there any tips for removing the damn belts or is this a hunt and search for removal sort of deal? |

If you unplug the sensor/clip thingy under the driver's seat will the warning light be on? I never tried it.. |

It will, it a 2 wire connector under the seat. Unplug it, cut the end off and connect the wires together and insulate it. |

Kev, Thanks for the help. Just got all of the belt work out of the car. Rails, all of the belt reels, everything. Should save some weight, switching over to some good harnesses after the car is re-painted. |

Time consuming. You have to pull the seats, remove the interior trim on sides and a pillar, then you pop 2 connections on each side, and it's a series of bolts to get the rails out. I think 8-9 bolts per side for the rails, 3 bolts for the shoulder belt, and 2 for the lap belt. |

Going with Takata or Impact brand harnesses, probably an NRG harness bar, and getting my seats recovered and seeing if the upholstry shop can put some agressive bolsters in the seats. Racing setup with a touch of uniqueness. |

Not of my setup. The car is a glorified shell right now. If you want real racing harnesses go for Impact Racing. It's owned by Bill Simpson, founder of Simpson racing products. |

Which plug in thhe B pillar? When you get the rails out there are 2 plugs to disconnect (motor and ???) plus an extra in the A pillar. |

Had a thought removing the belts yesterday. For something that is supposed to hold you into the car, I really wasnt feeling the whole safety thing given how loose the bolts all were while removing them..... |
