VQ swap if you want to be different. I'd say RB20, only because the parts seem a bit more accessible when you need them. |

http://s8.zetaboards.com/240SX_Family/topic/8158221/1/#new should answer your questions. i personally have a RB20 and i love it, a friend of mine has a RB25, it pulls a lot smoother, but doesnt seem to pull as hard to me. |

Although my gf is having issues getting into vet school so my RB30 fund may become the "perfect tits" fund instead. Tough decision...... |

First question is: What do you want to do with it? As in what are your goals for the car? I have put more RBs into other cars than anyone on the east coast, so I should be able to give you your best options, but I need more info to do that. First things first though, your question is too open-ended and needs MUCH more info for a real answer. The only thing you have gotten so far is feelings related to other peoples opinions, which is fine, but it could have NOTHING to do with what YOU want for YOUR car. So you see it is rather important that we know what you want in order to give you GOOD advice and not just confuse your pretty little head. Also be very careful in speculating what a xxxHP RB2X will do. Most of the info out there is purely subjective, wrong, made up BS by someone with experience on a computer/forum but no real experience with these motors, or some combination of those things. Not saying you can't get any good info out there, but I am saying you can't take it as law unless you can verify it for yourself. So be careful. That being said, most people out there that I have come across with RB25s and quite a few with RB26s I have been able to not just beat but flat out embarrass with a well sorted RB20. One of the best street cars I have ever had was an RB20/240SX with some mild upgrades, that was well sorted, efficient, and had a smooth power curve that didn't even hit 300RWHP. Creamed Vettes, E46 M3s, 911's (non-turbo), RB25 cars, and an improperly done RB26 S14 I came across in Philly. It did this up to about 120-125MPH and then the 240SX tends to start running out of legs, but how many times do you really maintain at those speeds or higher. You don't need 400HP, hell most 240SXs with a small turbo motor wind up being no faster than if they had 300HP with the same motor. All they do is cost more, become less controllable, and waste more gas and tires. Edited by Rummel Autosport, Jan 21 2010, 12:47 PM.
