Hey I was doin my clutch this past weekend and I can't get my drain plug out to change the oil in the tranny! I tried using a 17mm wrench to get it off but they don't make a socket tht fits it? Does anyone no were I can get a square 17mm socket to get this bitch off? Cause my snap on wrench is bending and I'm afraid to strip it. |

Pretty sure I used a half inch extension and a ratchet to get my drain plug out |

Yea but its not really the right way.. And I'm gonna have to pull the drive shaft again. If I can't find it I'm just gonna do it tht way but I'd rather make sure its done right. |

you dont need to pull the driveshaft to pull the shifter off... and its definately not the wrong way. I pull the top plug out when I am filling it because when its full, it will start dripping out. Yeah, its like 2 1/2 quarts or whatever but who the hell pays attention anyways? lol You can also unbolt the pieces of the driveshaft so you dont have to pull the driveshaft out and drain the fluid. Just sayin. |
