Posts: 466 Group: Members Member #161 Joined: August 18, 2009 Location: East Columbus/Canal Winchester Ohio My Ride: 1991 Nissan 240sx SE coupe	okay well....im having one hell of a problem and i desperatly need some help/advice. My car will not start what so ever, it'll crank and it sounds like a real good crank, I'll pump the gas and you can hear the engine trying to turn over but it just doesnt catch. it just seems restricted or something. But....and heres the kicker where im lost, i can take the fuel pump fuse out and the car starts. As soon as i hit the gas pedal, it kills it. Put the fuse back in....and nothing besides it cranking and trying to catch. I have new plugs and wires. Ive checked for spark and i do have spark in all 4cylinders. Ive checked the ECU and it just gives me the good ol' 5-5. Ive pulled the fuel rail off and checked and all 4 injectors are spraying perfectly. Could it be my fuel pump? it has a relativly new filter on it, im just lost and dont know what the hell to do or where to start. please help....thanx guys. later

Resident Redneck Posts: 156 Group: Members Member #129 Joined: June 28, 2009 My Ride: 89 240 coupe	I am having the almost same problem right now, car wont start unless I pull the fuel pump fuse, then it sputters for a little, only difference is if I put the fuse back in the car starts and runs horribly, once it dies I have to pull the fuse again. I think the car is gettin too much fuel and is flooding out. What I have done so far is pull the whole fuel rail out(one of the grommets is almost torn in half) pulled all the injectors out and all the o-rings look beat so they are getting replaced. Try checking around the bottom of the fuel rail see if its wet or not, if it is your injector o-rings might be bad. :Edit: I will let you know out come once its together again.
