Power window conversion.

. Posts: 5,250 Group: Admin Member #17 Joined: February 22, 2009 Location: Fishersville, Va	I keep reading different things about the harness. Some say the harness is already in the base model car, some say it isn't, and some seem to believ some have it and others don't. I have flawless power doors and if you've checked out my build thread, you've seen my passenger door. All I need to know is if the harness is actually there or not. I don't have time to actually dig in to see at the moment so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It would have to be pre-wired for the switches in each door, the motor in each door and the window amplifier in the drivers door. I have been taking door cards off every vehicle imaginable for over 17 years now, comprising of over 25,000 vehicles that I have worked on, and I have NEVER seen one single vehicle that was pre-wired for power windows.

Also, I have a complete power car with every wire. Is there a plug I can just plug the power door stuff to into the main harness under the dash on my base car? Edited by Blake, Aug 27 2010, 12:01 AM.
