So as the title states, would a altima ka24de motor work in a s13? Would I have to swapp over sensors or dizzys or anything like that? Reason I ask is bcuz I need a ka, and only oness I can find are for altimas. Thanx guys later

Seriously? Bcuz its the same motor basically sideways? Really isn't much diff then the 350 swap in a fiero ( like evrybody is doin wit those) bcuz they turn a RWD motor sideways. I dnt really see much of a diff between the motor fittin or not, its the same motor technically and isn't seperated by codes lke a b18c1 vs a b18c5 or whatevr, they are botth just ka24de's

Its 100% completely different.

Block design is different with motor mount points right on the front and rear of the block
Bell housing bolt locations are not the same
The cooliing and oil gallies internal to the block are different
The Thermostat and water neck are on the rear of the motor (right above trans)
The Throttle body faces the rear of the motor (rear meaning towards the trans
The head is different, because the distributor is on the rear of the motor

You cannot just bolt it to a KA RWD trans and go.... you would need make a bellhousing, notch the sire wall, and make engine mounts.

So yeah the block is different, the head is different, the intake TB is different, the cooling system is different. the ignition system is different. But they use the same spark plugs and injectors.

No, no KA had VVT or VVL. The replacement to the KA was the QR series, that has VVT

No lumpy thing., the timing chain cutout is very close the a 240, but its not the same. Remember people swap altima cams into 240's for performance gains.

So, Scott can't help you find one? If not, and you really can't find one, you need to take a little drive.
