Take a multimeter to your ignition cylinder and make sure nothing is jumped/shorted. Was it running on all four cylinders after you took the keys out, or did it seem like it was diesel-ing on just a cylinder or two?

nahh it was running just as it normally would. i think something did short though my tail lights were being funky last night, those then my dashboard lights would only illuminate when i stepped on the brake pedal. i fixed the lights but now this started happening. im going to start digging tomorrow i believe it may be the ign switch

So far that black/white one to the right of the blue wire is still getting power when the key is taken out of ignition. ended up unsoldering it and the power dies as it should. that black/white wire is the "starter 2" wire according to this website

upon the unsoldering, when the key was turned to the ON position, the dashboard lights that would normally illuminate such as the battery, cel, etc..did not light up. this black\white wire i believe feeds power to that circuit.

FSM EL section, I bet its either the switch or ignition relay welded.

Nice man good find Ty. Did some more testing..it's weird, I believe it's a bad switch. Basically what's happening is that when the key is put to the ON position, it energizes all of the circuits, when then turned to the OFF position, all the circuits except that black/white which is actually identified as a black/red coming out of the connector...that stays energized. Going to the junkyard tomorrow to try n find a replacement switch to rule that unit out.

Relays are good though, could be the switch that got welded I assume, we'll see lol
