Having a hard time finding a definite answer, I've been reading a lot of threads but no real luck. My question is for my set up, what would be a good ecu chip to start the real tuning from...i suppose im asking if this is a good general base map? I've been reading up on enthalpy, jwt, nistune, emance, etc etc and it looks like all of those excluding e mance are stupid expensive, so basically is an emance rom chip acceptable for my set up? sr t28, dsm 450s, n60 maf please let me know ASAP I want this shit done in the next two weeks lol |

go with an emanage ultimate it gives you stand alone options but is a piggy back. you can find the unit if you look for around 350 and a boomslang (quick connect) for around 150 then all you have to do is tune it/ find somebody that can. everybody that i know personally that runs kat runs emanage ultimate...my 2 cents good luck man. |

two thing one should never skimp on machine work and tune, otherwise you just asking for it. "I was running an Enthalpy tune that was in an s14 and never got off my ass to get a dyno chart and data log to send back to them which was the reason I was running HellaRich, IMO I would would another enthalpy tune but I am considering a Steve Pearson tune up here, or auto-training my car back down to Va for either a Hennessey or Shu tune since I know both of them personally and know their tuning styles pretty well." Looking into that a bit more that looks like another 700 dollars once everything's been purchased and tuned and that's too much for me lol. I've read that mail order ecu tunes from emance for example are sufficient enough. Only problem is that if i plan on changing the set up the ecu will need to be changed as well but customer reviews have states that Jason @ emance's customer service was great and are capable of overnighting replacement ecu's if you send your first one back..idk how true that is but what I'm more concerned with is if I'm gunna fawking blow my motor using some shit like that lol |

Agreed, go with apexi or aem, save the money, I know its hard bro, but just work real hard for it, dont mess with a tune or youll blow your car up and spend more money, though I heard enthalpy is good, and pearson blows, hes such a shady guy aka rom is burning |

i use emanage on my car...it has been pushing 400 for 3.5 years now never a problem. i run a map sensor, efans are ran through it, control timing through it. might as well be stanalone and mine was 400with the boomslang and close friend tuned it. emanage ultimate is far from garbage. it is the middle ground between aem, apexi standalone systems that cost a couple gs and are fucking amazing, and other gay ass piggy back systems and re-flashes/rom. emanage blue which is what everybody wants to get cause its cheaper is garbage tho. |

just noticed safc was mentioned, all i can say about those is: Oh, hellz to the no. spend you money on a true tune. with an safc you might as well piggy back your ecu with a Atari 2600 and hope for the best. |
